Kuwait, Qatar, and the UAE Intercept Iranian Missiles and Drones

On the fifth day of the Israeli-American war on Iran, Tehran continues its violations in several Gulf states. The official spokesman for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense, Colonel Saud Al-Atwan, announced that a number of hostile aerial targets were detected and intercepted within Kuwaiti airspace early Wednesday morning.

The ministry stated in a press release that the targets were engaged and destroyed. As a result of the interception, debris fell on a residential building in the country, causing casualties and material damage, according to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

Qatar Intercepts 10 Drones and Two Cruise Missiles

For its part, the Qatari Ministry of Defense announced that the country was attacked by 10 drones and two cruise missiles launched from Iran.

As the Ministry explained in a statement published on the "X" platform, Qatari defenses successfully intercepted six drones. The Air Force intercepted two drones and two cruise missiles, while the Navy intercepted two other drones.

The Qatari Ministry of Defense emphasized that it possesses the capabilities and resources to protect and preserve the country's sovereignty and to counter any external threat.

Intercepting Three Ballistic Missiles in the UAE

For its part, the UAE Ministry of Defense announced the interception of three ballistic missiles and the detection of 129 drones. Of these, 121 drones were intercepted, while eight crashed within the country's territory.

The Ministry explained in a statement published on the "X" platform that "since the start of the blatant Iranian aggression, 189 ballistic missiles have been launched towards the country.

Of these, 175 were destroyed, 13 fell into the sea, and one landed on UAE territory. Additionally, 941 Iranian drones were detected, 876 were intercepted, and 65 landed within UAE territory. Eight cruise missiles were also detected and destroyed, causing some collateral damage, including three fatalities and 78 minor injuries."

The Ministry confirmed that the sounds heard in various parts of the UAE were the result of air defense systems intercepting ballistic missiles and fighter jets intercepting drones and cruise missiles. This resulted in minor to moderate material damage to a number of civilian sites.
