Gulf and Arab condemnations of the Al-Bahya incident: A dangerous escalation and a blatant violation of UAE sovereignty
Arab and Gulf states condemned the Iranian attack that resulted in a missile strike on a civilian vehicle in the Al-Bahya area of the UAE, killing one person.
The State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation of the Iranian attack, which it considered a dangerous escalation, a blatant violation of the UAE's sovereignty, and a direct threat to the region's security and stability.
The Qatar News Agency, quoting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated in a statement today that Iran's continued opening of new fronts and expansion of the escalation with neighboring countries is extremely dangerous.
It called on Iran to immediately cease these irresponsible policies that undermine the region's security and stability, and to prioritize the interests of the region's peoples and adhere to the principles of good neighborliness and international law.
The Ministry also affirmed the State of Qatar's solidarity with the sisterly United Arab Emirates and its support for all measures taken by the UAE to preserve its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
A Dangerous Escalation
In the same context, the State of Kuwait expressed on Monday its strong condemnation and denunciation of the ongoing Iranian attacks on the United Arab Emirates and other Gulf Arab states, which today resulted in the death of one person and injuries to others after a missile struck a civilian vehicle in the Al Bahia area of Abu Dhabi. This constitutes a flagrant violation of all international laws and norms and represents a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement carried by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), reiterated Kuwait's rejection of all acts targeting the security of brotherly and friendly nations, emphasizing the need to halt policies that expand the circle of escalation and undermine security and stability in the region.
Kuwait also expressed its full solidarity with the sisterly United Arab Emirates and its support for all measures taken by the UAE to preserve its sovereignty, security, and stability.
Jordanian Solidarity
For its part, Jordan condemned in the strongest terms the Iranian attack that resulted in a missile striking a civilian vehicle in the Al Bahia area, killing one civilian.
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, in a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), affirmed Jordan's rejection and condemnation of these brutal attacks, which constitute a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the United Arab Emirates and a dangerous escalation threatening the region's security and stability.
The Ministry emphasized Jordan's absolute solidarity with the sisterly United Arab Emirates in confronting Iranian aggression and its full support for all measures taken by the UAE to protect its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its citizens.
The Ministry expressed its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased. Authorities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi responded to an incident involving a missile strike on a civilian vehicle in the Al Bahia area, which resulted in the death of one Palestinian national.
