 The UAE Welcomes US-Iran Talks in Oman

The United Arab Emirates welcomed the announcement of talks between the United States and Iran in the Sultanate of Oman, affirming that this positive step reflects efforts to support dialogue and de-escalation.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its appreciation for the efforts exerted by the sisterly Sultanate of Oman to create a conducive environment for dialogue, commending the Sultanate for hosting these talks as a step that reflects its constructive role in supporting understanding and dialogue at the regional and international levels, and enhancing security and stability in the region.

The UAE reiterated its belief that promoting dialogue, de-escalation, adherence to international law, and respect for the sovereignty of states are the best foundations for addressing current crises, emphasizing its steadfast approach based on resolving disputes through diplomatic means.

The UAE expressed its hope that these consultations will yield positive results that contribute to strengthening de-escalation and consolidating the foundations of security and stability in the region, thereby contributing to supporting regional and international peace.
