Successful New Mediation.. UAE Continues Pushing for Peaceful Resolution to Ukraine Crisis

The United Arab Emirates announced the success of its latest mediation efforts between Russia and Ukraine, culminating in a new prisoner exchange involving 157 prisoners from both sides, bringing the total number of prisoners exchanged between the two countries in these mediations to 314.

This mediation coincides with the UAE hosting the second round of trilateral talks between the Russian Federation, Ukraine, and the United States in Abu Dhabi, reflecting its commitment to strategic cooperation and the international community's confidence in its role in facilitating dialogue and providing a supportive environment for constructive negotiations.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its gratitude to the two friendly countries for their cooperation in the success of the UAE's mediation efforts, reflecting their appreciation for the UAE as a trusted mediator working to support efforts aimed at resolving the crisis between the two countries.

The UAE has undertaken a total of 18 mediation efforts during the crisis, reflecting the depth of the UAE's relations with both Russia and Ukraine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the UAE will continue its efforts to support all initiatives aimed at achieving a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine and mitigating its humanitarian consequences.
