The UAE also stressed the importance of halting the escalation, prioritizing dialogue over confrontation, and addressing existing differences through understanding and consensus on sustainable political solutions.
She concluded by emphasizing that de-escalation and dialogue are the best way to overcome the current challenges. This call came as the Yemeni government's Homeland Shield forces fully seized control of the city of Seiyun in Wadi Hadramawt and advanced towards Mukalla in the south of the province.
It also came after the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council requested on Friday evening that Riyadh host a conference aimed at dialogue and resolving the crisis in southern Yemen.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced its welcome of the proposal and called on "all southern factions to actively participate in the conference to develop a comprehensive vision for just solutions to the southern issue that meet the legitimate aspirations of southerners."
