Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, the UAE Ambassador to Egypt, expressed his delight at attending the 2026 Cairo International Book Fair, emphasizing the fair's prestigious reputation both regionally and internationally.
In statements to Al-Ain News, Al Zaabi praised the book signing ceremony for Dr. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi's "The Artificial Womb," considering it a valuable addition that enriches Arab libraries and contributes to fostering scientific and intellectual discourse on future issues.
The UAE Ambassador affirmed that the cultural activity at the fair represents a beautiful intellectual and humanistic event, bringing together writers and intellectuals from around the world. He noted his keenness to visit the various pavilions of the fair, both those participating from the UAE and other countries.
He added that the UAE is committed to its ongoing participation with Egypt in supporting this major cultural event by contributing books and intellectuals, based on the belief that books retain their fundamental value in science and knowledge. The 57th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair is the largest in its history in terms of participation, the diversity of its events, and the richness of its cultural and intellectual content. This edition witnesses unprecedented participation.
With 1,457 publishing houses from 83 countries participating, totaling 6,637 exhibitors, it represents the widest international participation ever recorded, making it an exceptional cultural event that reinforces Cairo's position as a capital of enlightenment and thought in the Arab world and the Middle East.
