Engineer Mohamed Shimi, Minister of Public Business Sector, received Ambassador Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, the new UAE Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt, at the ministry's headquarters in the Administrative Capital. 

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister welcomed the Ambassador, wishing him success in his duties. He emphasized the depth and strength of the fraternal and historical relations between Egypt and the UAE, and their continuous growth and development in various fields.

The two sides reviewed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in the industrial and investment sectors, and emphasized the importance of deepening economic cooperation between the two sides, in support of shared goals towards achieving comprehensive and sustainable development that serves the interests of the two brotherly peoples.

 Engineer Mohamed Shimi gave a detailed presentation of the ministry's portfolio of companies, which includes important industrial, production, and service entities, and the projects and programs for modernization and development currently being implemented.

The Minister affirmed that the Ministry adopts an open approach to strengthening partnerships with the private sector, both locally and internationally, as part of the state's efforts to support sustainable development, localize technology, and deepen local manufacturing. 

He pointed out the existence of promising investment opportunities in many sectors, with the Ministry welcoming all forms of partnership that serve the interests of all parties. He emphasized the Egyptian government's commitment to creating an attractive business environment and overcoming any challenges that may face investors.

For his part, Ambassador Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi expressed his pride in representing the UAE in the Arab Republic of Egypt, praising the close relations between the two countries and their brotherly peoples. 

He emphasized that Egypt represents a distinguished investment destination, given its strategic assets, advanced infrastructure, and unique geographical location. He also noted the desire of many Emirati companies to strengthen their presence and increase their investments in the promising Egyptian market.
