EDGE to supply helicopters to the UAE Ministry of Defense
EDGE Wins Two Contracts to Supply 168 Unmanned Helicopters to the UAE Ministry of Defense
EDGE Group, a leading global advanced technology and defense company, announced that it has been awarded two strategic contracts to supply Anavia HT100 and HT750 unmanned helicopters to the UAE Ministry of Defense.
These contracts represent a significant milestone, as they are among the largest global orders to date for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems.
Under the contracts, Anavia, a Swiss-based subsidiary of EDGE Group specializing in the design and manufacture of unmanned flight systems, will produce and deliver 76 HT100 platforms and 92 HT750 rotary-wing aircraft to the UAE Ministry of Defense.
Ion André Jörg, CEO of Anavia, said: “Our contracts with the UAE Ministry of Defence underscore our ongoing commitment to enabling advanced unmanned intelligence and logistics operations through cutting-edge autonomous systems.”
He added that as the global security landscape evolves towards a future increasingly reliant on unmanned systems, Anavia will continue to innovate in developing high-performance systems that deliver industry-leading capabilities, while simultaneously contributing to the strengthening and consolidation of the UAE’s advanced technology ecosystem.
HT100 Helicopter: Proven Performance
The proven, multi-terrain, day-and-night, and weather-resistant HT100 unmanned helicopter is designed as a rapidly deployable alternative to manned helicopters for intelligence and data collection missions.
The larger HT750 helicopter is a multi-mission platform designed for logistics operations, capable of transporting heavy payloads while maintaining exceptional flight stability.
The announcement of these contracts, made during the Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference (UMEX) and the Simulation and Training Exhibition (SimTEX) 2026, represents the latest step in EDGE Group’s commitment to supporting the UAE’s national security by providing it with cutting-edge unmanned aircraft systems technology and extensive supply capabilities.
