The meeting was a continuation of discussions that began in Abu Dhabi between the two sides, following the signing of several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in Abu Dhabi.

These MoUs aim to enhance cooperation in several key areas, including air cargo services, developing logistical capabilities, expanding regional presence, launching new cargo routes, and improving operational efficiency through the exchange of expertise and knowledge in aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO).

This aims to strengthen the regional supply chain and the supply of spare parts to airports and airlines. The meeting also explored the possibility of establishing a regional spare parts supply center in Egypt to serve local, regional, and international markets.

The two sides also discussed enhancing cooperation in training activities between EgyptAir Training Academy and Abu Dhabi Aviation Training Center through training programs, developing technical personnel, and exchanging expertise.

The meeting reviewed the steps required to implement the MoUs according to the established timeline. Furthermore, the two sides discussed opportunities to expand economic partnerships in the areas of technical support and ground services, as well as increasing interdependence in cargo and maintenance services.

Pilot Ahmed Adel stated that EgyptAir cherishes the close ties between the two brotherly nations, noting that these relations represent a fundamental pillar of mutual trust and a shared vision aimed at developing the aviation industry in the region.

He pointed out that cooperation with Abu Dhabi Aviation and sister Emirati companies such as AMMROC and GAL represents a significant step forward in EgyptAir's development plan, explaining that this collaboration effectively contributes to enhancing operational and technical capabilities and serves the common interests of both countries.

The Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company added that extending bridges of cooperation with the UAE is of particular importance given the significant transformations taking place in the regional aviation sector, which necessitate building strong partnerships and sustainable projects.

For their part, the Emirati delegation commended EgyptAir's pivotal role in the region, expressing their aspiration to broaden the horizons of cooperation to achieve effective integration among leading Arab companies in the aviation industry.
