Egyptian-Emirati Alliance Launches $120 Million Panorama Park Project in Congo

In a move that reflects the deep economic ties between Egypt and the UAE, a joint investment alliance announced the launch of the Panorama Park project in the Congolese capital, Kinshasa. The project will be the largest entertainment and tourism project in the Central African Republic, costing more than $120 million and with a capacity of over 100,000 visitors per month.

The alliance includes a group of leading investment entities from both sides, including Media House, Qurtam Emirates, and EGC GROUP. Media House is led by Engineer Hossam Mahdy, Major General Hisham Qurtam, Dr. Shehab El-Din Fikry, and Engineer Mazen Mustafa.

The project comes within the framework of a strategic plan aimed at establishing an Egyptian-Emirati economic bloc to implement major development and tourism projects in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This will contribute to stimulating tourism, attracting Arab investments to the African continent, and enhancing South-South economic cooperation.

Major General Hisham Qurtam, General Manager of Qurtam Emirates, said in statements following the signing of the memorandum of understanding: “The Panorama Park project represents a strong start to a new phase of Arab investments in Africa and embodies the shared vision of Egypt and the UAE to support sustainable development and create real job opportunities in promising markets.

” Qurtam added that the new alliance seeks to offer an integrated investment model that combines Egyptian expertise in management and implementation with Emirati financial and technical support, emphasizing that the project will be “a new beacon for tourism and entertainment in the Central African Republic, and a regional attraction for investors and visitors alike.”

Panorama Park is expected to contribute to strengthening the tourism infrastructure in the capital, Kinshasa, through the establishment of entertainment and hotel complexes and integrated service areas. This is in line with the Congolese government's economic development goals and will enhance the presence of Arab investments in one of the world's fastest-growing regions.

This project is part of a broader vision of the Egyptian-Emirati alliance to expand into a number of African countries in the coming years, in the fields of tourism, entertainment, and infrastructure, in support of economic integration efforts between Arab and African countries.
