“You are the nation’s most precious asset”: Mohammed bin Zayed’s message to the children of the UAE

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, addressed a heartfelt message to the children of the UAE on the occasion of Emirati Children’s Day.

In his message, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said: “My sons and daughters, the children of the UAE, I want to tell you that you are the nation’s most precious asset, its joy, and its future.”

He emphasized that the safety, security, and fulfillment of children’s dreams are at the forefront of the UAE’s priorities, stressing the importance of raising children with self-confidence and pride in their national and humanitarian values.

He added: “We want you to grow up confident in yourselves, proud of your values, and believing that your dreams will contribute to building a bright future for the UAE and the world at large.”

The President of the UAE affirmed that every child possesses a unique talent and a special dream that can contribute to the nation’s progress and prosperity. He expressed his great confidence in the capabilities of the new generations, emphasizing that investing in children is an investment in the future of the nation.

He concluded his message with a prayer for the children and their families, saying, "I ask God Almighty to protect you and your families, and that you may achieve all that you wish for yourselves and your nation."

Emirati Children's Day

Emirati Children's Day is celebrated annually on March 15th, the date on which the Child Rights Law (Wadeema) was adopted in 2016. This law guarantees a range of fundamental rights for children, including the right to life and survival, health and education rights, as well as intellectual and social protection.

This day aims to raise community awareness of children's rights and to work towards providing a healthy and safe environment that supports the development of children's abilities and skills, contributing to building a more prosperous and sustainable society in the UAE.
