Egypt and the UAE Discuss Strengthening Cooperation in Government Excellence and Digital Transformation
Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, met with Ohood Al Roumi, UAE Minister of State for Government Development and the Future, during the awards ceremony for the fourth cycle of the Egypt Government Excellence Award.
The Egyptian minister and her Emirati counterpart discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in the areas of institutional excellence, human resource development, and digital transformation.
They emphasized that the Government Excellence Award represents a national tool for strengthening institutional performance and raising the efficiency of the administrative apparatus, thereby contributing to improving the quality of services provided to citizens and developing government policies in accordance with best international practices.
The meeting also addressed preparations for the 2026 World Government Summit in Dubai, themed “Shaping the Future of Governments.” The summit aims to bring together experts and decision-makers from around the world to strengthen international cooperation, address global challenges, and support innovation and smart governance in state institutions.
