UAE Minister of State for Government Development: Egyptian Leadership Has Made Excellence a Strategic Choice
The UAE Minister of State for Government Development and the Future, Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, stated that the leadership in the Arab Republic of Egypt has made excellence a strategic choice, not a seasonal objective.
This came during the Minister's speech at the opening of the fourth edition of the Egypt Government Excellence Award, held today, Monday, in Cairo, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and in the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly.
The Minister added, "This approach is reflected in the development of government practices, the adoption of digital solutions, and investment in human capital as the most important asset for development."
She explained, "This award is not merely an honor, but a clear and impactful message that Egypt believes the best gift it can offer its people is a government that excels, innovates, and improves day by day."
She continued, "The Egypt Government Excellence Award represents a new language for government performance, based on clear standards, measurable results, and successful experiences that inspire and are replicated."
She pointed out that true governmental excellence is not measured by the number of awards but by impact—an impact that recognizes human beings as the priority of development, and that investing in their future is the primary and genuine driver of progress, and the most authentic path to making a tangible and sustainable difference in the lives of communities.
She expressed her deep appreciation to Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly for his presence and for honoring the winners of the fourth cycle of the award, reflecting the strong support that the Egyptian leadership provides to the journey of governmental excellence and modernization.
She also thanked Dr. Rania Al-Mashat and her team for their continuous support across all aspects of the strategic partnership in governmental modernization between the two brotherly countries.
She added that the strategic partnership in governmental knowledge exchange between Egypt and the UAE has been embodied since the signing of this award eight years ago, translating the UAE's vision and the directives of its leadership to establish a shared global model in government work, based on the highest standards and focused on efficiency and impact.
She continued, "Over the years, this partnership has translated into reciprocal visits, joint projects, and practical initiatives, embodying a firm approach shared by the UAE and Egypt in building bridges, strengthening cooperation, and building upon a long history of distinguished relations, centered on working for the well-being of humanity and the quality of life in both brotherly nations."
She added, "It is from this shared vision that the Egypt Government Excellence Award was launched in 2018, not only as a platform to celebrate achievement but also as a national engine to support the development of the government work system," expressing the UAE's pride in being part of and supporting this journey.
She expressed her anticipation of continuing this constructive cooperation, particularly at the World Government Summit 2026 in February, to launch new phases of joint work.
