The Egyptian "Ecaro" is competing for the establishment of two waste recycling factories in the UAE and Morocco


Ahmed Esmat, head of the planning and follow -up sector at the Egyptian Solid Waste Recycling Company "Ecaro" of the Citadel Holding Group, said that the company is competing to establish two solid waste recycling factories in the UAE and Morocco with investments close to $ 65 million.


Esmat added that the first project in the UAE is to establish a solid waste recycling factory with a capacity of 1000 tons per day and investments amounting to about 40 million dollars, while the factory investments in Morocco are about $ 25 million to rotate about 500 tons per day of waste.


(ICARO) was established in 1997 and is a company specialized in operating, maintenance and management for solid waste treatment projects and health burial management, a sister company for the engineering activities group "Production" according to the company's website. The company has previously implemented projects to recycle solid waste in several Arab countries during the last period, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Sudan and Libya, so that the sites are implemented and delivered to the various government agencies.

Icaro also carries out the recycling factories, locations and burials of the waste recycling for the government's account in Egypt or the private sector, as well as the sites that they occupy for their account in the Delta, Minya, Beni Suef and other governorates. The company has more than 71 sites to recycle solid waste in Egypt and the production of "compost" (organic fertilizer) and "RDF" fuel produced from solid waste used as an alternative fuel for coal in cement factories.
