UAE Defense Ministry.. We Detected 4 Cruise Missiles Launched from Iran

For the first time since April 8, Iran violated the ceasefire by targeting the UAE. Following an Iranian attack on a UAE oil tanker, the UAE Ministry of Defense announced that it had detected four cruise missiles launched from Iran towards the country.

In a statement issued Monday, the Ministry explained that three missiles were successfully intercepted over the UAE's territorial waters, while one fell into the sea.

The UAE Ministry of Interior stated that it was dealing with new missile threats. The UAE National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority announced that air defenses had engaged a missile threat. It issued an urgent alert to all citizens and residents, urging everyone to remain in safe locations and follow safety instructions issued by official authorities.

Fire in Fujairah

The Emirate of Fujairah reported a fire after an Iranian drone targeted the petroleum industries area. She added that civil defense teams are continuing their efforts to control the fire at the site, while the Emirate of Fujairah reported that three Indian residents were injured as a result of a drone attack targeting the petroleum industries area.

This came after the UAE issued another warning earlier today via mobile phones about a "potential missile threat." However, it quickly announced that the danger had passed. A few minutes later, a new message was circulated stating that the threat had ended and urging people to return to normal life.

ADNOC Tanker Targeted

Earlier today, Emirati authorities condemned an Iranian attack targeting an ADNOC tanker with two drones as it transited the Strait of Hormuz.

This followed US President Donald Trump's announcement Sunday evening of the launch of "Operation Freedom" to secure navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. The US Central Command confirmed that "US forces are actively contributing to efforts to resume commercial shipping" in this vital strategic waterway. It explained that "guided missile destroyers are in the Arabian Gulf to support the Strait of Hormuz operation."

It is worth noting that Iran launched approximately 2,800 drones and missiles at the United Arab Emirates between February 28 and the ceasefire that took effect on April 8, following the outbreak of war between Iran on one side and Israel and the United States on the other.
