Civil Aviation Authority Confirms National Carriers Have Recovered 44.6% of Previous Operations

The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) confirmed that air traffic in the country is gradually returning to normal operating levels. This follows the country's successful and professional handling of the exceptional circumstances and developments witnessed in the region during the past period, through well-considered operational and regulatory measures that ensured passenger safety and the continuity of air traffic.

Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism and Chairman of the GCAA, stated that, thanks to the directives of its wise leadership, the UAE has dealt with this phase responsibly, prioritizing human safety while maintaining the continuity of the aviation sector to meet the needs of passengers.

Al Marri added: “The safety of passengers, pilots, flight crews, and all aviation sector employees remains the absolute priority in all decisions related to airspace. Despite the exceptional circumstances the region has witnessed in recent days, the UAE has been keen to manage air traffic in a balanced manner by operating a limited number of flights via approved emergency routes, ensuring the continuity of travel in accordance with the highest safety standards.”
