The UAE's non-oil foreign trade jumped to AED 1.7 trillion during the first half of 2025, registering a 24% growth compared to the same period last year, according to an announcement by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid noted that the growth achieved in the UAE's non-oil trade far exceeds the average global trade growth, which did not exceed 1.75% during the same period. This reflects the strength of the UAE economy and its ability to expand its network of trading partners despite global challenges.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said in a post on the X platform, "Our non-oil foreign trade has exceeded AED 1.7 trillion, double what we were just five years ago. These numbers speak volumes about our economic relations with the world and the unprecedented development led by my brother, Mohammed bin Zayed."

Non-oil trade between the UAE and a number of its international partners witnessed record leaps, most notably a 120% increase in trade with Switzerland, a 41% growth with Turkey, a 33% increase with India, a 29% increase with the United States, and a 15% improvement with China.

These indicators reflect the UAE's strategy to diversify its trade partnerships and strengthen its presence in global markets through comprehensive economic partnership agreements with several countries.

This growth represents an extension of the country's efforts to develop its commercial and logistical infrastructure and expand its digital and legislative platforms to facilitate trade exchange, strengthening its position as a major hub for global trade.
