$55 Million and 90 Private Jets: Details of Jeff Bezos' Venice Wedding

Venice, Italy, hosted the wedding of American billionaire Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, and journalist Lauren Sanchez.

Despite the secrecy surrounding the details of Jeff Bezos' wedding, a number of details are gradually emerging, most notably the announcement by the President of the Veneto Region, Luca Zaia, who estimated the total cost of the ceremony at approximately $55 million, making it one of the most expensive weddings Italy has seen in recent years.

The main event is scheduled to take place on Saturday evening at the historic "Arsenal" complex in the Castello area. This ancient site dates back to the 14th century and is distinguished by its location on the water, which is difficult to access by land due to the raised bridges leading to it, providing a high degree of privacy.

The event coincided with a surge in private aviation traffic, with reports indicating that approximately 90 private jets would land at Venice, Treviso, and Verona airports during the celebrations. More than 30 jet boats were also secured to transport guests, including celebrities such as Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, who arrived in the city from Tuscany.

In terms of accommodation, five of Venice's most luxurious hotels were booked to host the guests, most notably the Aman and Cipriani, which have previously hosted several high-profile weddings. Despite the lavish atmosphere that dominated the preparations.
