
The UAE does not wait for the future, it creates it now
The UAE is building the future now "with the efforts of its people and national institutions."
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, affirmed that the industrial sector constitutes one of the strategic pillars supporting the UAE's approach to diversifying the national economy.
He commended the tireless efforts exerted to achieve the objectives of the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology and the prominent role of effective partnership between the public and private sectors in strengthening the UAE's industrial base.
" The exhibition is hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, ADNOC, and Al Emad Holding, and organized by the ADNEC Group.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was briefed on the innovations and advanced solutions showcased at the event across various vital industrial sectors. He expressed his appreciation for "Made in the UAE's" contributions in bringing together all stakeholders in the industrial sector, both locally and internationally, and fostering collaboration to drive the development of advanced solutions that support multiple future sectors, most notably advanced technology, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology.
His Highness praised the pivotal role of national institutions and the Emirati workforce in advancing Emirati industries and enhancing their global competitiveness. He stated, "The UAE is not waiting for the future; it is creating it now with the ideas and efforts of its people and its ambitious national institutions. Investing in human capital is our priority, and empowering national talent with advanced knowledge, skills, and technologies is our approach to building a more distinguished and sustainable future."
The visit was attended by His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications; His Excellency Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director General of Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism; and a number of other officials.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's tour also included a visit to the stand of Al Emad Holding, one of the event's strategic partners. He received a briefing on the company's advanced investment solutions and its role in achieving the goals of economic diversification and ensuring its sustainability.
His Highness also visited the ADNOC stand and learned about its key participation in this edition of "Make in the UAE," most notably the announcement of the Industrial Resilience Program. This program comprises five initiatives aimed at supporting the UAE's supply chains, accelerating local manufacturing, enhancing business continuity capabilities, and developing sustainable industrial production capacities within strategic sectors.
The tour also included a visit to the International Holding Company (IHC) stand, where His Highness was briefed on its extensive participation in the event through 32 of its subsidiaries, representing various strategic sectors. The group showcased its latest contributions in artificial intelligence, energy transformation, infrastructure, and financial services, as part of its efforts to support industrial growth and promote the localization of industries.
His Highness was briefed on Mubadala’s participation in “Make in the UAE” through two platforms. The first platform includes the team responsible for national value-added programs and supporting startups, while the second comprises more than 20 Mubadala Investment Company subsidiaries representing several strategic sectors, including aerospace, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, aluminum and graphene manufacturing, and other future industries.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also visited the Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KIZAD) pavilion, where he received a briefing on the group’s objectives to enable industrial growth through integrated economic zones, logistics services, and business environments ready for investment in various vital sectors. These objectives also include supporting national value-added and fostering a flexible industrial model that aligns with the ambitious goals of the UAE’s industrial sector.
His Highness visited the EDGE pavilion, a leading global company in advanced technology and defense, and learned about its key offerings at the fifth edition of "Made in the UAE." EDGE now manufactures 80% of its systems within the UAE, and the group continues to expand its partnerships aimed at enhancing technology transfer, localizing critical capabilities, and securing supply chains.
At the conclusion of his visit, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum praised the advanced level of Emirati industries and their high competitive advantages, which enable them to solidify the "Made in the UAE" brand and promote its global reach. He expressed his confidence in the ability of Emirati industry to achieve new qualitative leaps, further cementing the UAE's position as a leading global industrial hub.
It is worth noting that the fifth edition of "Made in the UAE" features more than 1,245 exhibiting companies across 12 industrial sectors, aiming to localize the manufacturing of approximately 5,000 products in the UAE. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) represent 61% of the total participants.
