Child Sexual Exploitation Network Dismantled in Europe

The European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation (Europol) announced on Wednesday the dismantling of a massive child sexual exploitation network.

The agency explained that "investigators from more than 30 countries dismantled a massive child sexual exploitation network with nearly two million users worldwide and arrested 79 individuals."

It also stated that "the 79 individuals were not only suspected of viewing or downloading child sexual exploitation videos, but some were also suspected of actively participating in the exploitation."

Europol added that a platform known as "Kidflix" was shut down under the supervision of authorities in the German state of Bavaria. Europol noted that this was one of the largest child sexual exploitation networks in the world and constituted the largest anti-child sexual exploitation operation in Europe to date.
