Dubai is the city of the world

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Wednesday said that Dubai is the city of the world via the X platform.

He said, “The emirate hosted 36 locations for New Year's Eve celebrations, with millions of tourists, residents and citizens experiencing and disseminating this joy to their families and loved ones in 190 countries worldwide.

“The celebrations were a global exemplar of coexistence, tolerance and civilization,” Sheikh Mohammed added.

He continued, “We congratulate everyone on the New Year. Our profound gratitude is extended to all those who attended, interacted and shared our celebrations from all countries of the world.”

His Highness went on to express particular gratitude to the Events Security Committee, comprising 55 government entities that contributed to the success of the celebrations. The event proceeded in an orderly and honourable manner. This is a testament to the name of Dubai and the UAE.

His Highness concluded: 'I extend my best wishes for a Happy New Year to all. The UAE is a nation that consistently demonstrates a willingness to embrace the global community. It is an honourable model for the world.”
