To mark International Youth Day on Monday, Sheikh Mohamed emphasised the importance of investing in future generations to support the UAE's growth.
He said the "ambition and determination" of young people was crucial to helping the Emirates to achieve its goals.
The UAE leadership wants young people to help fuel the country's development in a rapidly evolving global landscape.
The UAE has sought to lay down firm foundations for the leaders of tomorrow by investing in education and promoting careers of the future in sectors such as coding and artificial intelligence.
The country also has a ministerial position in its cabinet dedicated to championing young people.
Emirati astronaut Dr Sultan Al Neyadi, who last year completed a historic six-month mission on the International Space Station, was named Minister of State for Youth Affairs in January.
The UAE views its young people as "sustainable wealth" that can be instrumental in continued national progress, he told state news agency Wam in an interview to mark International Youth Day.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has joined the global community in celebrating International Youth Day by organizing a series of interactive events and activities under the theme "From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development."
The activities aimed to enhance the digital capabilities of youth, enabling them to keep pace with technological developments and master future-ready skills, in line with the strategic objectives of the National Youth Agenda 2031 and the UAE’s vision to promote the role of youth in sustainable development.
