The United Arab Emirates welcomed the European Parliament's approval of the European Commission's updated list of high-risk third countries for money laundering and terrorist financing. This decision is a clear recognition of the UAE's unwavering commitment to the highest global standards in combating international financial crimes.

The UAE continues to be a trusted and strategic partner of the European Union and affirms its unwavering commitment to ensuring the effective and robust implementation of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CFT) regulations, enabling it to address future emerging global challenges.

As one of the world's fastest-growing economies and a trusted international financial center, the UAE continues to work alongside all international partners to protect the integrity of the international financial system. Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State, affirmed that the UAE seeks, through its vision and tireless efforts, to achieve a leading position in the field of combating money laundering and terrorist financing.

He continued, "We also look forward to strengthening the UAE-European partnership, enhancing close cooperation, prosperity, and shared security for both regions and our peoples."
