The UAE announced that the Abu Dhabi Ports Group's "Seven Prism" immediately responded to a distress call from the British-flagged merchant vessel "Magic Seas."

This came after the vessel was attacked in the Red Sea, sustaining damage to its hull, forcing the crew to abandon the vessel in difficult sea conditions. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed in a statement that the UAE's response resulted in the rescue of all 22 crew members. and the rescue of the vessel's crew and security personnel.

The rescue occurred in full coordination with relevant maritime authorities, including the UK Maritime Transport Authority (UKMTO), and relevant international organizations, and in compliance with the highest standards of safety and response in such emergencies.

This swift action reflects the UAE's commitment to supporting the security and safety of international navigation and humanitarian solidarity with all countries in the face of growing challenges in strategic waterways.
