Korean science expert and content creator Orbit praised the recent success achieved by the United Arab Emirates in the field of space, as it succeeded in launching the Hope Probe to Mars and thus became the fifth country in the world in the success of that mission after the United States, Russia, Europe and India.
He added that the UAE is a strategic partner of South Korea in the field of space technology, and the UAE has shown tremendous growth in this sector in a short period of time, after stunning the world with tangible achievements.
Orbit said during a panel discussion, held as part of the 42nd Sharjah International Book Fair, that in just 20 years, the UAE, which was cooperating with South Korea in building satellites, has jumped to become a global space power, while South Korea has become the seventh country in the world to have its own space rocket.
The UAE has made significant progress in the field of space exploration and is now considered a global space power. The country’s success in the space industry is evident in the launch of the Hope Probe to Mars and its ranking as the fifth country in the world to successfully achieve this mission.
The UAE has also launched the DubaiSat-1 and DubaiSat-2 satellites in collaboration with South Korea and established the UAE Space Agency in 2014. In 2018, the country launched the KhalifaSat satellite.
