Emiratization is a UAE government initiative that mandates the inclusion of UAE national talent (Emiratis) within the public and private sectors.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MOHRE) has further enhanced its regulatory program, which now requires increased participation by the private sector to hire Emiratis.
The aim is to create more jobs in the private sector, implementing official percentages companies must meet to contribute to the UAE’s Emiratization goals.
The total number of private companies, which joined Nafis platform, has increased by 597 since early January, 2023 with 24 companies on daily basis, bringing the total number to 7,614 so far, comparing to 7,017 by end of 2022.
These companies, which operate in various areas, offer multiple jobs to UAE citizens via the website of the platform.
The number of companies that joined “Nafis” reached 504 until early June 2022, 1,255 until early July, 1,947 until early August, 3,931 until early October, and 6,022 until early December in the same year.
The "Nafis" platform has activated an option on its website to receive feedback and complaints, due to the enormous number of calls being received by its call center, emphasising that all notes and complaints will be reviewed directly through the platform by the specialized customer service team.
Since its launch more than a decade ago, Emiratization has made significant progress in the public sector, but engagement in the private sector has been less consistent—except in certain sectors, such as banking and insurance.
