King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed on Friday 324 tons and 317 kilograms of food baskets in Socotra Governorate, Yemen, benefiting 18,186 individuals as part of the food security project.
The distribution of this aid coincides with the approaching of the blessed month of Ramadan, during which the demand for food commodities increases, and to alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable families in light of the difficult humanitarian crisis being experienced by the Yemeni people.
KSrelief in cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), continued to provide shelter materials for the displaced people in Taiz governorate, Yemen including distributing mattresses, cooking supplies, sleeping mats, and blankets, benefiting 4,020 individuals.
The project works on distributing shelter materials for displaced families and the host community in the governorates of Aden, Lahj, Abyan, Taiz and Al-Hudaydah, with the aim of alleviating their living burden by providing basic relief materials to preserve their dignity after their living conditions deteriorated.
Riyadh has in recent years pumped more than $19 billion into the international Yemeni aid program, the head of KSrelief said.
The Kingdom remained fully committed to supporting all efforts aimed at reaching a sustainable political solution to the situation in Yemen and ensuring the unity and safety of the country.
