King of Jordan congratulates the Saudi monarch on Founding Day

King Abdullah II ibn Al- Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the occasion of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Founding Day.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud issued last January a royal order to consider February 22nd of every year as the Founding Day.

In his cable to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Jordanian King expressed, in his own name and on behalf of the people and government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, his sincere congratulations and sentiments on this occasion.

The King also prayed to Allah Almighty to return this and similar occasions while the Saudi people realise aspirations of further progress and prosperity.

King Abdullah expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Saudi king and crown prince for their support, and for Saudi Arabia’s stance in standing by Jordan in all circumstances and crises.

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan also affirmed the Kingdom’s stance and King Salman and the crown prince’s unlimited support for everything that strengthens the deep-rooted brotherly relations between the two countries that serves their common interests.

Saudi Arabia and Jordan work side by side to establish projects and partnerships that could potentially benefit both sides across crucial and strategic sectors, especially the energy and water desalination sectors on the Red Sea.

Saudi Arabia is Jordan’s biggest Arab commercial partner and Saudi investments in Jordan reportedly surpassed $10 billion.
