Emirates Airline offers romantic flight in Valentine’s Day

Surprisingly, Dubai’s Emirates Airline has announced a unique Valentine’s Day offer. UAE travellers can get 25 per cent off when they travel with their loved ones or friends to select destinations.

The special offer is valid for two or more travelers, and can be booked for up to nine people on the same booking reference. A return trip can be booked till February 14 for the special offer.

Passengers can make travel plans to 20 holiday destinations, including London, Istanbul, Mauritius, Nairobi, Seychelles, Maldives, Colombo, Cairo, Amman, Beirut, Zurich, Moscow, Amsterdam, Munich, Paris, Barcelona and Phuket.

The airline has also announced a “romantic getaway” with Emirates Holidays, starting from Dh1,989 per person with complimentary breakfast.

For the perfect romantic getaway look no further than the Maldives with its long stretches of white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. Malé, The Maldives, is one of the world’s most popular holiday destinations.

The package starts from Dh5,299 per person for three nights including return flights and five-star hotel stays, breakfast and transfers.

The Bahamas, an archipelago that sits in the Atlantic, is also a popular tourist attraction, especially for Valentine’s Day. Recently, Emirates signed a Memorandum of Understanding with The Bahamas to explore joint initiatives to promote tourism to the island nation.

In romantic retreats, Emirates airline offers packages to Istanbul, Seychelles, Maldives, Bali, Maldives, Mauritius, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, South Africa and others.

Other UAE-based airlines may follow Emirates’ lead and introduce similar offers in the coming days.

Currently, fares between Dubai and London fall in the range of Dh800-Dh1,500. Paris can cost as much as Dh2,000, while Maldives would be upwards if Dh3,000.

While previously Dubai was a transit destination for passengers flying from Europe to Asia (and vice versa), the city has emerged as a leading global tourist spot with point-to-point traffic starting to represent a bigger share.
