Syria confirms Erdogan's abuses

Syria's Deputy Foreign Minister Bashar Jafaari has commented on Turkish mafia leader Sedat Peker's allegations on Turkey's aid to jihadists in Syria, saying that all of his claims are true.

In a YouTube video he released on May 30, the exiled mob boss claimed that SADAT, a private contractor, had been sending weapons to "terror" groups, including the Nusra Front.

He also claimed billions of dollars worth of illicit trade was going on between the two counties and it was organized by Turkey's Director of Presidential Administrative Affairs Metin Kıratlı.

Jafaari said that the Syrian government has information on "Erdogan regime's abuses."

"What Mr. Sedat Peker said about the Erdogan regime, including his own family members, being involved in the stealing of our oil, natural gas, minerals, and grains are true," the diplomat said.

"We all witnessed the stealing of our oil and natural gas in 2015 and 2016, even by ISIS, organized by Erdogan's son," he added.

Damascus has sent 108 letters to the UN Secretary General, the UNSC and subcommittees about "thousands of terrorists coming from Turkey," he said.

Peker shared photos of equipment he had sent to the Free Syrian Army on social media. Dozens of pickups, hundreds of body armors and other equipment were shown in the photos.

Turkey's alleged aid to the jihadists in Syria was a major controversy in 2015, with Russia saying in December 2015 that it had proof of Turkey purchasing oil from ISIS-controlled territory.

The Russian Defense Minister at the time accused Erdogan and his family of being involved in the illegal oil trade.

YouTube videos of Turkish mob boss Sedat Peker accusing government officials of corruption and more have captivated millions in Turkey.
