Palestinian ambassador in Paris, ungrateful to the Emirates

The UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Anwar Gargash, described the speech of the Palestinian ambassador to Paris, Salman Al-Harfi, as ungrateful to the Emirates, adding: “We are used to lack of loyalty and a denial of gratitude.”

Gargash said in a tweet on Twitter: “I was not surprised by the Palestinian ambassador’s speech to Paris and his ungrateful handling of the Emirates. We are used to lack of loyalty and gratefulness, and we are moving confidently towards the future with our steps and convictions.”

Al-Harfi condemned the normalization of relations between the UAE, Bahrain and Israel.

In an interview with Radio Monte Carlo International, on Monday, he described the peace agreements as “free normalization”, asking: “Was the Arab initiative merely a maneuver or was it aimed at solving the Arab-Israeli conflict?”

Al-Harfi stressed that the announcement of the normalization agreements is part of the deal of the century, and said: “These are the instructions of US President Donald Trump to these countries, which he sent in writing through his Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, as the US policy is rude enough to embarrass these countries.”

He said that Jared Kushner, Trump’s aide, wants to gather support for the success of the American president in the presidential elections and does not serve peace, considering that the UAE and Bahrain are helping Trump as part of the deal of the century that destroyed the two-state solution and torpedoed the concepts of peace in the Middle East that the world agreed upon for 50 years.

He concluded by saying, “It is as if our brothers are standing on the side of Israel and the United States in opposing Palestinians and Arabs.”
