Medical staff in Turkey protest .. "We are on the verge of extinction" Doctors accuse the state of adopting a policy of holding health workers and citizens responsible for the epidemic

The board of directors of Ankara and Istanbul doctors' chambers announced that they began a symbolic protest by placing a black tape on their chests, while they were working, between September 14-18.

According to the council, the aim of the protest is "to shed light on the high numbers of injuries and to show mercy to the lives of citizens and health workers who have died because of the epidemic."

The council confirmed in a statement that "the number of people infected with the virus is much greater than the official figures, and that the government's method of managing the epidemic remains to this day, insufficient, and a cause for concern."

In the statement entitled "You can not manage, we are dying, we are extinct," the Council stressed that "health workers have reached the point of extinction", and that "there is a policy to hold health workers and citizens responsible for the epidemic."

The council’s decision came after a call by the Turkish Doctors Union, for all health workers in the country, to protest by placing a black tape on their chests.

The statement of the Board of Directors of the Ankara and Istanbul Doctors' Chambers emphasized the need to "manage the epidemic crisis in a scientific way, transparent data, and with high coordination between all sectors.

We are carrying out these activities, because the state the epidemic has reached has not met our aspirations, and let us confirm once again that doctors and health workers have reached a state of extinction due to the policy followed, we will continue to remind those who place the responsibility for the epidemic on the citizens and health staff, that they are the ones with responsibility, and it is a responsibility Also historical.
