The National Archives and Library is participating in events celebrating the fraternal relations between the United Arab Emirates and the State of Kuwait.

This comes as part of "UAE and Kuwait... Brothers Forever" week, through the organization of a wide range of cultural and educational events that embody the depth of the historical and social ties between the two brotherly countries.

The celebration program includes a scholarly symposium on UAE-Kuwait social relations throughout history, with which the institution will inaugurate its 2026 cultural season. It also includes several historical photo exhibitions documenting the journey of bilateral relations, educational workshops and specialized lectures in Abu Dhabi schools and at celebratory gatherings.

The publication of a documentary book entitled "The UAE and Kuwait... A Nation's Memory and Brotherhood Relations." This book, featuring selected photographs, documents, and archival evidence, reflects decades of cooperation and integration between the two brotherly peoples, highlighting significant milestones in the history of their strong fraternal relations.

The National Archives and Library launched its activities as part of "UAE and Kuwait: Brothers Forever" week, which runs from January 29 to February 4, 2026, with a seminar on "UAE-Kuwaiti Social Relations." The seminar explored the roots of the social and fraternal ties between the two countries

The factors that have contributed to strengthening them. It began with Kuwait's role in supporting the UAE's development before the formation of the Union, particularly in the health and education sectors, and extended to the UAE's supportive stance towards Kuwait during its crises, which has solidified and strengthened these relations.

Participants in the seminar emphasized that UAE-Kuwaiti relations represent a firm model of genuine Gulf brotherhood, forged in a shared social and cultural environment and reinforced by the values of solidarity, cooperation, and a common destiny.

The National Archives and Library is also working to enrich the Arabian Gulf Digital Archive (AGDA) website with a virtual photo exhibition documenting Emirati-Kuwaiti relations.

The National Archives and Library published a special supplement to its magazine, "Al-Maqtaa," titled "The UAE and Kuwait… A Story of Brotherhood Transcending Time," which was widely distributed at the 2026 Cairo International Book Fair.

As part of "The UAE and Kuwait… Brothers Forever" week, the National Archives and Library organized a series of art workshops and awareness lectures under the same theme. These events were hosted by several schools, including Al Manara Private School, Al Taweela School, Al Asala School, Emirates National School, and ADNOC Schools, as well as other schools and some kindergartens.

The lectures focused on the deep and enduring fraternal relations between the United Arab Emirates and the State of Kuwait, exploring the roots of these historical ties and the prominent role Kuwait has played in supporting the UAE's educational and healthcare development, in addition to its contributions to the development of the media and cultural sectors.

The events also included specialized programs and activities focusing on UAE-Kuwaiti relations, as part of an initiative by the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood. This initiative emphasized the importance of instilling the values of brotherhood and fostering awareness of shared history among younger generations.

In the same vein, the National Archives and Library launched a media campaign across its official social media channels, highlighting the deep fraternal ties between the United Arab Emirates and the sisterly State of Kuwait.

The campaign showcased a selection of photographs, films, and historical documents that chronicle the history and milestones of these relations. It also provided an opportunity for audience interaction and participation, thereby strengthening awareness of shared history and reinforcing the bonds of brotherhood between the two nations.
