The company's oil production declined 2% during the first half, averaging 86,192 thousand barrels per day. As a result, Apache's revenues from Egypt increased 64% during the first half of this year, reaching $719 million, compared to $439 million during the same period in 2024.
New Investments in Egypt
Apache invested approximately $227 million during the first half of this year, compared to $270 million during the same period last year. Last July, the company received presidential approval for the direct award of approximately two million acres in the Western Desert for five years, increasing its presence in the country by approximately 35%, bringing its total concessions to approximately 7.5 million acres.
The company stated that the new concessions are supported by 3D seismic data, and that it plans to drill several wells in the newly awarded areas during the fourth quarter of 2025, targeting diverse geological formations and a mix of resources. The company stated that, in addition to a $25 million signature bonus, it has committed to a drilling program in this area, which it believes it will be able to implement within its normal operations.
