US, UK update travel advisory for Egypt... Official comment
The official spokesperson for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the US decision to raise Egypt's travel advisory level to Level 2, bringing it on par with countries like France and Germany, describing the move as "positive and remarkable."
The spokesperson also welcomed a similar move by the British Foreign Office, which updated its travel advisory for Egypt to Level 2. The spokesperson noted that the British update praised the approximately one million British tourists who visit Egypt annually, reflecting the country's security and stability.
The spokesperson emphasized that these amendments come in the context of intensive contacts conducted by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its embassies abroad over the past period with a number of countries, as part of efforts to support and increase tourist flow to Egypt.
