 UAE Strengthens Global Energy Security

 UAE Reaffirms Commitment to Strengthening Global Energy Security


UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright on Thursday, who is visiting the UAE as part of a regional tour of the Middle East. The US Secretary of Energy expects a rapprochement with Beijing that serves everyone's interests.


During the meeting, which took place at Al Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, discussed with the US Secretary of Energy the strategic cooperation between the UAE and the United States, particularly in the fields of energy, joint investments in advanced technology, artificial intelligence, and sustainable economic growth, as well as the creation of new opportunities that enhance investment in the energy sector.


In this context, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed his country's keenness to strengthen its constructive and long-standing partnerships with the United States, which are based on effective cooperation to advance progress and joint development. He also emphasized the UAE's commitment to contributing to enhancing energy security, thus supporting the global economy for the benefit of all, according to the official Emirates News Agency.


The meeting was attended by Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region; Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; 


Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination; Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Yousef Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the United States of America, and a number of officials.
