A famous American singer is preparing for a tourist trip to     space

Blue Origin, the space company owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, announced that the famous American singer Katy Perry and five other women, including Bezos' fiancée, Lauren Sanchez, will soon travel to space. The American company stated that the flight will be scheduled for "sometime in the spring," without mentioning the ticket price.

This will be the eleventh crewed flight for Blue Origin, which has been operating space tourism flights for several years using its New Shepard rocket and carried out its first orbital flight in January using its new New Glenn rocket.

With this rocket, Bezos seeks to enter the new market of launching commercial and military satellites into orbit, as well as spacecraft and astronauts, and thus compete with SpaceX. Along with Katy Perry, film producer Kerrianne Flynn and Amanda Nguyen, founder of an NGO dedicated to combating sexual violence, will participate in the flight.

Blue Origin has previously flown 52 people, including celebrities such as William Shatner, who played Captain Kirk in the Star Trek films, above the Kármán Line, which marks the boundary of space at an altitude of 100 kilometers, according to an international agreement. During this experience, which lasts several minutes, passengers can leave their seats and float for a few moments in zero gravity.

The fully automated rocket launches vertically, and the capsule detaches in space before returning to Earth, slowed by large parachutes and retrorockets. Blue Origin competes with Virgin Galactic in this type of suborbital flight, which offers a similar experience.
