"Made in the UAE 2026" Strengthens Partnerships and Supports Growth in Vital Sectors

The “Made in the UAE 2026” event kicked off today, Monday, providing a practical platform to translate the UAE’s industrial trends into tangible investment opportunities and partnerships that support the national manufacturing sector.

The event, held from May 4 to 7, 2026, at the ADNEC Abu Dhabi exhibition center, in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, highlights the integrated industrial environment offered by the UAE. This environment enhances the readiness of the industrial sector, supports sustainability, and paves the way for the expansion of national industries towards a flexible and sustainable industrial model.

The event is being organized amidst the strong performance that the UAE’s industrial sector continues to achieve, particularly in the areas of exports, technology, and growth. The exhibition serves as a platform that brings this momentum together in one place, transforming it into real opportunities for manufacturers and investors.

“Made in the UAE”: A Vision for Comprehensive National Sovereignty

The “Make in the UAE” platform presents a practical model for the UAE’s efforts to enhance industrial resilience and solidify its position as a regional and global hub for advanced manufacturing. The unprecedented scale of this year’s edition reflects the country’s long-term industrial vision and its commitment to building a production- and innovation-driven economy.

The platform covers 12 priority industrial sectors, including advanced manufacturing, energy, aviation, defense, pharmaceuticals, mobility, and sustainable materials.

The “Make in the UAE” platform supports the country’s industrial strategy by serving as a national mechanism to transform aspirations into tangible projects and opportunities, bringing together industrial priorities, capabilities, and opportunities under one umbrella.

The platform also highlights the role of reliable supply chains, scalable national companies, and local innovations in achieving a tangible economic impact, supported by government demand and a commitment to achieving sustainable industrial growth.

Food Industries

In this context, Sergei Prasevich, General Manager of Nestlé in the UAE, Kuwait, and Qatar, affirmed that the company's participation reflects its commitment to local manufacturing and building an integrated supplier ecosystem.

He noted that the company operates four factories within the UAE and relies on local suppliers for over 70% of its needs. He added that Nestlé also contributes to non-oil food exports, which enhances supply continuity, rapid response, and the development of innovative products that meet the needs of regional and global markets.

In the food industry sector, Bader Al Shehhi, Director of Communication and Community Engagement at the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, emphasized that food security is a fundamental pillar for the future of industry in the UAE.

He explained that participation in the exhibition aims to link agriculture with industry and enhance global market confidence in Emirati food products through an integrated system based on smart agriculture and advanced monitoring.

Defense and Technology Industries

For his part, Khalifa Al Hamli, Executive Director of Strategy and Executive Affairs at the Tawazun Defense Empowerment Council, explained that the Council is continuing its efforts to empower the UAE's defense and security industries.

He noted that a package of enablers was showcased at the exhibition, including specialized industrial zones, initiatives to expand supply chains, an AI-powered digital platform for national defense products, and strategic partnerships that support innovation and advanced technologies.

Metals and Building Materials Sector

Engineer Saeed Al Rumaithi, CEO of Emsteel Group, stated that the Group plays a pivotal role in supporting the objectives of the National Industrial Strategy, "Project 300 Billion," as the largest manufacturer of iron and building materials in the UAE, exporting its products to more than 70 global markets.

He emphasized the company's commitment to reducing carbon emissions in line with the UAE's Climate Neutrality Strategy 2050 and its participation as a key partner in the metals and metal manufacturing sector at the exhibition.

In the same context, Mohammed Al-Amir, CEO of Exeed Industrial Group, affirmed that the group's participation reflects its role in strengthening local supply chains, particularly in the construction, precast concrete, and building materials sectors.
