The Iranian Attack: The UAE – A Beacon of Security and Safety, and a Model in Crisis Management

The UAE not only successfully repelled the blatant Iranian attacks on its territory, but also presented the world with a model to be emulated in crisis management and the dissemination of security and safety.

This pioneering model reinforces the UAE's position as one of the safest countries in the world and strengthens confidence in the efficiency and integrity of its security and military systems.

The Iranian attack on the UAE, which continued for a second day on Sunday, was part of several Iranian attacks targeting a number of Gulf and regional countries. This occurred within the context of a broad military escalation between Iran on one side and Israel and the United States on the other, amidst widespread condemnation and rejection of the Iranian attacks targeting countries that have long worked to avoid such a war, most notably the UAE.

From the very first moments of the escalation between the two sides, and even before the attack on the UAE began, various state agencies were keen to convey messages of reassurance to society through both words and actions, emphasizing to everyone that "the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors is a paramount priority that cannot be compromised." The UAE Armed Forces translated this message into action on the ground, demonstrating their readiness and preparedness to maintain national security and protect the country's territory and achievements.

A Heroic Epic

A Heroic Epic: The figures announced by the Ministry of Defense embody a heroic epic of the UAE Armed Forces in confronting Iranian attacks.

In numbers, the Ministry of Defense announced that since the start of the Iranian attack on Saturday, the following has occurred:

- 165 ballistic missiles launched from Iran towards the UAE were detected. 152 were intercepted and destroyed, while 13 fell into the sea.

- Two cruise missiles were detected and destroyed.

- 541 Iranian drones were detected. 506 were intercepted and destroyed, while 35 crashed within UAE territory, causing material damage and resulting in three deaths among nationals from Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh, and 58 minor injuries among nationals of the UAE, Egypt, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon, and Afghanistan.

The Ministry indicated that some debris fell in various parts of the country as a result of air defense systems intercepting ballistic missiles and drones, causing minor to moderate material damage to a number of civilian properties.

The Ministry affirmed its readiness to deal with any threats, and that the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors is a paramount priority that cannot be compromised.

These figures demonstrate to the entire world that the Armed Forces are the UAE's impregnable fortress, a training ground for strong men always ready to defend their homeland with all that is precious.

Messages of Reassurance

For its part, the Ministry of Interior was keen to broadcast messages of reassurance even before the attack began.

The Ministry urged the public to obtain information from official state sources and to avoid circulating rumors or unreliable information. It called on everyone to cooperate with the relevant authorities and adhere to their instructions.

Indeed, around the clock since the start of the attack, the Ministry has been providing the public with updates and necessary procedures through warning messages and awareness campaigns, successfully reassuring everyone that "maintaining the security and safety of citizens, residents, and visitors is a priority for the UAE."
