Emirates.. Deliveries of New Boeing Aircraft Order to Begin in 2034

Emirates Chief Operating Officer Adel Redha expects Boeing to begin delivering the agreed-upon 777-X aircraft in 2034, representing the first batch of this model produced by the airline.

In an interview with Al Arabiya Business at the Dubai Airshow, Redha stated that this deal guarantees the airline increased capacity to meet future demand for Emirates seats.

He noted that Emirates began installing its Starlink satellite internet system this week on a Boeing 777 aircraft at the Dubai Airshow. The system provides good internet speeds, and the service is expected to be installed on the airline's Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft within 18 months.

The airline also has a contract with Airbus for 65 A350 aircraft. It currently operates 13 of these aircraft, and the delivery program will continue until 2030, enhancing the airline's ability to operate new routes and open additional destinations.

Emirates also signed an agreement to purchase 65 Boeing 777-X aircraft worth $38 billion, bringing its total orders with the American aircraft manufacturer to 315 wide-body aircraft, including 270 777-9s.

This latest agreement with Boeing also provides a significant boost to the feasibility study for developing the larger 777-10 model within the 777-X family, as the airline has signed options to convert its new 777-9 order to either the 777-10 or the 777-8.
