Conference to Reconstruct Gaza After the War Ends |
Egyptian Prime Minister: Security for Israel Will Not Be Achieved Through Military Force
Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced last Monday that Arab Republic of Egypt will host a conference for the reconstruction of Gaza once a ceasefire is reached in the Palestinian enclave.
In his speech at the Two-State Solution Conference in New York, co-chaired by Saudi Arabia, France, and Egypt, Madbouly said, "Egypt will host an international conference for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, immediately after a ceasefire agreement is reached, to mobilize the necessary funding for the Arab-Islamic reconstruction plan."
The Egyptian Prime Minister emphasized "our rejection of attempts to displace the Palestinian people from their land." He also affirmed that "Egypt continues to exert every effort to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza." Madbouly also stated that "the two-state solution is not merely a political option, but a security necessity."
During a press conference, the Prime Minister emphasized the urgent need to continue mobilizing international support for the implementation of the Arab Plan for the Reconstruction of Gaza, including its requirements for early recovery, rebuilding infrastructure, and restoring all aspects of life in preparation for the reconstruction and development of the Strip.
In this context, Mostafa Madbouly reviewed the ongoing preparations for holding the Cairo Conference for Early Recovery and Reconstruction after the ceasefire is reached.
