Prime Minister of Palestine.. We Count on Egypt and Our Brothers to Establish Our State
Dr. Mohamed Mustafa, Prime Minister of Palestine, affirmed that the Palestinian people rely on the support of Egypt and their Arab brothers in establishing an independent Palestinian state and meeting the demands and needs of its people.
In statements made at the Rafah crossing, he said that Egyptian and Arab efforts in supporting the Palestinian cause are clear and cannot be denied, overlooked, or underestimated. He thanked everyone for their continued support for the Palestinian people's efforts to support their steadfastness and struggle to achieve their legitimate rights, and called for not succumbing to the claims of those with narrow and partisan views.
Gaza Reconstruction Conference Preparations
He added that Arab support was an important factor and a strong motivation for the Palestinians in confronting Israel's plans to starve more than two million Palestinians and its attempts to force them to leave their land. He thanked all brotherly and friendly countries that are providing aid, calling for greater international action to stop the use of starvation and end the war.
He continued that they are continuing to work with Egypt to prepare for the Gaza reconstruction conference based on the Arab plan, stressing his government's readiness to assume responsibility for governing Gaza in cooperation with international institutions.
He stated that Egypt's ongoing efforts to support the Palestinian cause stem from a full awareness that we share a common destiny and a common future. Regardless of those who attempt to diminish Egypt's role, the Palestinian people extend their sincere gratitude to Egypt and its leaders for their role in supporting Palestine politically, economically, and diplomatically.
Rejecting the Policy of Starvation and Displacement Plans
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Social Solidarity Maya Morsi, and Palestinian Prime Minister Dr. Mohamed Mustafa arrived at the Rafah crossing today and visited El Arish General Hospital to inspect the wounded Palestinians. They also inspected the aid centers that will be deployed to the Palestinian side.
During a press conference in front of the crossing, Abdel Aty emphasized the urgent need to continue mobilizing international support for the implementation of the Arab plan for the reconstruction of Gaza, including its requirements for early recovery, rebuilding infrastructure, and restoring all means of life in preparation for the reconstruction and development of the Strip. In this context, Abdel-Ati reviewed the ongoing preparations for the Cairo Conference on Early Recovery and Reconstruction following the ceasefire.
The Egyptian Minister emphasized Egypt's position rejecting the displacement of the Palestinian people from their land. He also expressed Egypt's categorical rejection of the policy of starvation and blockade pursued by the Israeli side in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing his country's condemnation of the settlement policies and systematic Israeli attacks and violations in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Humanitarian and Relief Aid
Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Solidarity, noted that the Egyptian Red Crescent facilitated the entry of tens of thousands of aid trucks through the Rafah land crossing, carrying hundreds of thousands of tons of humanitarian and relief aid. He also noted the entry of dozens of ambulances into the Gaza Strip and the reception of thousands of wounded and sick Palestinians in Egyptian hospitals.
