 Egyptian-Emirati Partnership to Launch Integrated Sports Real Estate Project in 6th of October City


Investment partnerships between Egypt and the UAE continue to expand into new sectors. Businessman Farid Shalaby, Chairman of the International Real Estate Investment Company, announced a strategic partnership with Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa bin Shakhbut Al Nahyan to launch an integrated sports club in 6th of October City, as part of a major real estate project owned by a leading development company.


An Integrated Sports and Social Project


The club will include stadiums and academies for football, volleyball, handball, gymnastics, and swimming, in addition to special programs to support the skills of Egyptian women through handicraft workshops. It will also offer mind games and e-sports activities for the first time in Egypt, with a special focus on chess.


A Vision for New Cities Development


Shalaby emphasized that the project aims to be a model for a social sports club that serves the community and enhances quality of life by combining health, education, and culture, in line with sustainable development concepts. Final details and contracts are expected to be revealed soon.


Sheikh Sultan's Biography and Sporting Role


Sheikh Sultan served as President of the Asian Chess Federation and Vice President of the International Chess Federation from 2006 to 2026. He also served as President of the Al Ain Chess and Mind Games Club from 2004 to 2028, where he contributed to spreading the game throughout the Arab world and Asia, integrating it into educational systems, and organizing major international championships.
