American company Valco completes drilling 6 oil wells in Egypt, increases production

American company Valco Energy announced that its oil drilling campaign in Egypt, which began in December 2024, continued during the second quarter of 2025, with the company completing the drilling of six wells during this quarter. The revenues reached $67.2 million in the first half of this year 

The American company explained in its earnings statement that three of these wells will undergo hydraulic fracturing operations in the third quarter of this year. It added that a detailed analysis conducted in the first quarter of 2025 to assess the potential of the well reservoir resulted in a series of recompletion, reactivation, and well performance improvements, resulting in a further increase in production.

The company indicated that its production ranges between 9,750 and 11,000 barrels per day, with its share of this amounting to between 6.2 and 7.2 thousand barrels per day. The company's revenues reached $67.2 million in the first half of this year, compared to $72.4 million in the same period last year.Valco received $5 million of its dues from the Egyptian government last July.
