Dubai Police Extradites Three Internationally Wanted Individuals to Belgium on Organized Crime Charges

Dubai Police announced the extradition of three internationally wanted individuals to Belgium after their arrest in the emirate in a security operation conducted in cooperation with the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL).

Dubai Police stated that the three wanted individuals, Mathias Akyazli, George Kim, and Othman Balouti, are all Belgian nationals and face charges related to forming an organized criminal gang, drug and psychotropic substance trafficking, robbery, and human trafficking.

The police explained that the security operation was launched immediately after receiving an official arrest warrant from Belgian authorities through the International Cooperation Department at the UAE Ministry of Justice, in full coordination with the Ministry of Interior. The wanted individuals were pursued based on red notices issued by INTERPOL and international arrest warrants issued by Europol.

Dubai Police confirmed that the extradition of the individuals falls within the UAE's commitment to strengthening international security cooperation and supporting global efforts to combat transnational organized crime. She added that this operation underscores Dubai's commitment to supporting the global security system and its contribution to ensuring the security and stability of communities locally and internationally.
