Modon and Montag Launch First Luxury Hotel Destination in Ras El Hekma
Abu Dhabi-based Modon Holdings and Montag Hotels & Resorts have announced the launch of Montag Ras El Hekma, which will offer the first branded residential units available for purchase within the Ras El Hekma development on Egypt’s northwestern Mediterranean coast.
This project marks Montag’s first resort in Egypt, supporting the growth of the new city as a global destination for leisure, business, and tourism.
Montag Ras El Hekma will feature 200 hotel rooms and suites, along with 96 Montag-branded residential units. It will also offer a full range of fitness and leisure facilities, including beachfront pools, the Montag Spa with 13 treatment rooms, six restaurants, retail spaces, and family-friendly experiences.
The resort is designed to be a sophisticated destination for modern living in the Ras El Hekma community, featuring dedicated event spaces, expansive gardens and terraces, and a private owners' club that complements the project's exclusive residential character.
Located at the heart of the Ras El Hekma development, the resort offers a living experience grounded in refined hospitality concepts, combining private ownership with Montage's approach of understated luxury and seamless service, all within a comfortable and private setting.
With no further phases planned for this development, the residential units represent a rare and exclusive ownership opportunity within a fully integrated coastal destination stretching 2.25 kilometers of beachfront, encompassing lush green spaces, a fully equipped marina, and world-class hospitality experiences.

Montage Residences Ras Al Hekma comprises a private collection of 96 Montage-branded villas located in Wadi Yam, the first district of the Ras Al Hekma project. Designed to maximize space, natural light, and privacy, the villas seamlessly blend indoors and outdoors.
Available in a variety of layouts ranging from three to six bedrooms, the villas boast a beachfront location that enhances their connection to the surrounding natural environment. Some units also offer dual views of the Mediterranean Sea and the world-class golf course.
Montage Ras El Hekma marks the first ultra-luxury destination for the global brand in Egypt and the beginning of a broader partnership between Modon and Montage, with the potential to expand the collaboration across Modon's destinations in the future.
The new projects will join Montage Hotels & Resorts' existing portfolio, which includes six ultra-luxury resorts and residences in the United States and Mexico, in addition to planned projects in the Bahamas, Punta Mita, and the Guadalupe Valley.
The Ras El Hekma Montage is a key component of the $35 billion Ras El Hekma master plan, which spans 170.8 million square meters and is projected to attract $110 billion in cumulative investments by 2045.
The resort and new residential units are located within Wadi Yam, the first of 17 planned districts in Ras El Hekma, which is now under construction. As the first integrated coastal community within the project, Wadi Yam represents the initial step in realizing the master plan's comprehensive vision.
Wadi Yam incorporates several cultural elements that define the character of the new city, including the Ras El Hekma Lighthouse, a prominent visual landmark at the project's center, and a theater designed to accommodate approximately 10,000 people and host international cultural and entertainment events throughout the year.
Ras El Hekma is surrounded by a thriving natural environment and boasts direct connections to regional and international transportation networks, providing easy access by land, sea, and air, placing it within a four-hour flight radius of nearly half the world's population. The city features a new international airport integrated with a high-speed rail network, major roads, and marinas, in addition to a dedicated terminal for cruise ships and yachts.
Ras El Hekma will offer a wide range of entertainment, hospitality, and cultural facilities along its 44-kilometer waterfront. At the heart of the city lies the central financial and business district, along with educational, residential, and mixed-use zones designed to lay the foundations for a vibrant, year-round community.
The Ras El Hekma project is expected to create approximately 750,000 direct and indirect jobs and contribute nearly $25 billion annually to Egypt's GDP, making it one of the largest development and investment projects in the region.
