 The UAE's airspace is free of threats... and Bahrain destroys 7 drones


The UAE Ministry of Defense revealed that the country's airspace has not recorded any ballistic or cruise missiles, nor has it detected any drones coming from Iran, following the announcement of a ceasefire between the US and Iran. Meanwhile, Bahrain intercepted seven drones coming from Iran in the past few hours.


In the same context, since the beginning of the Iranian attacks, UAE air defenses have dealt with 537 ballistic missiles, 26 cruise missiles, and 2,256 drones heading towards the country. No injuries were recorded in the past few hours, leaving the total number of injuries at 224, of various nationalities.


No deaths were also recorded in the past few hours. Thus, since the beginning of the Iranian attacks, the total number of deaths remains at three members of the defense forces, in addition to ten civilians of various nationalities.


The Ministry of Defense affirms its readiness to deal with any threats and to resolutely confront anything that aims to destabilize the security of the state, ensuring the preservation of its sovereignty, security, and stability, and protecting its national interests and resources.


For its part, Bahrain states that its air defense systems have intercepted and destroyed approximately 194 missiles and 515 drones targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain since the beginning of the aggression. The General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force urges everyone to exercise the utmost caution and vigilance to ensure the safety of citizens and residents.


Its air defenses did not detect any ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, or drones coming from Iran in the past 24 hours, as of Wednesday, April 9, 2026. It also confirmed that the country's airspace remained free of any aerial threats during this period.


The Ministry announced that since the beginning of the "blatant Iranian aggression," UAE air defenses have intercepted 537 ballistic missiles, in addition to 26 cruise missiles and 2,256 drones targeting the country.


The Ministry of Defense affirmed its readiness to confront any threats, emphasizing its commitment to resolutely countering any attempts to destabilize the country's security, thereby ensuring the preservation of its sovereignty, security, and stability, and protecting its national interests and resources.
