Sharjah authorities announce control fire at Khor Fakkan port; four injured

The Emirate of Sharjah announced today, Sunday, that a fire at Khor Fakkan port, caused by shrapnel following an Iranian attack, has been brought under control.

The Emirate of Sharjah clarified that the incident resulted in injuries to four residents at the port, one of whom sustained serious injuries.

Khor Fakkan port is a vital transit hub in the region, thanks to its ability to connect ports in the Gulf, Europe, the Indian subcontinent, and North Africa. The port's location also makes it a convenient point for shipping lines carrying large cargo to reach various parts of the UAE.

The UAE dealt with 10 missiles today, including nine ballistic missiles and one cruise missile, in addition to 50 Iranian drones, without any reported deaths or injuries, as the Iranian attacks against Gulf states enter their sixth week.
