The Egyptian Committee in Gaza announced that the number of camps it has established in the Gaza Strip has reached approximately 16, distributed across the southern, central, and northern parts of the Strip. These camps will house 100,000 Palestinian families.

Mohammed Mansour, spokesperson for the Egyptian Committee in Gaza, stated that the committee has begun distributing 55,000 food parcels as a first phase in the southern Gaza Strip, specifically in Rafah, under the slogan "Rafah: The Beginning," following directives from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

He confirmed that the campaign will continue in the coming days, extending to Khan Younis Governorate, then the Central Governorate, followed by Gaza City, and finally reaching the northern part of the Strip, to ensure that aid reaches all Palestinian families, with each family and married couple receiving a food parcel.

Mansour added that the Egyptian committee continues its relief efforts around the clock, receiving a constant flow of aid from Egypt to support the resilience of the Palestinian people amidst the current dire humanitarian conditions.

In a related context, the spokesperson explained that a new camp is currently being established in the area of the government ministries complex in the center of Gaza City. This camp comprises more than 400 tents, in addition to other camps in the northern Gaza Strip. He noted that three large convoys carrying food and relief supplies have been dispatched to the northern Gaza Strip: the first convoy consisted of 50 trucks, the second of 30, and the third of 40.

He further explained that the committee has established a camp in the northwestern areas of Gaza City, covering 200 dunams and housing more than 2,000 tents to shelter approximately 2,000 families. Another camp, located in the "17" area, covers 17 dunams and accommodates around 700 families. A third camp, the Halawa camp in Jabalia, is the largest in terms of both area and population, covering 70 dunams.

He stated that the Egyptian committee continues to provide relief and humanitarian aid, working to equip camps, provide bakeries and medical supplies, and support hospitals with medicines and milk. He emphasized that the committee will not waver in fulfilling its humanitarian duty towards the Palestinians. Egypt had previously announced its continued mediation efforts to reinstate the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, in partnership with Qatar and the United States, in addition to facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi affirmed Egypt's intention to host an international conference on early recovery and reconstruction in Gaza by the end of November. He stated that the conference will be a pivotal step in mobilizing international support for the reconstruction efforts in the Gaza Strip and achieving stability.
