The World Future Energy Summit 2026 will be held in the UAE this January.

The World Future Energy Summit 2026 will take place in Abu Dhabi from January 13-15, 2026, as part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week. Masdar is preparing to host the largest edition of the event, which brings together leaders in clean technology and renewable energy from around the world.

The organizing committee confirmed that the summit will witness record attendance from government entities, academic institutions, and global companies, reflecting the growing global interest in emissions reduction technologies, clean energy, and sustainable investment.

The World Future Energy Summit 2026 is the premier event in the Middle East for promoting sustainability and exchanging expertise. It has become a platform that brings together policymakers, investors, and innovation leaders to discuss practical solutions to address climate challenges and accelerate the transition to green energy.

The UAE has allocated over $54 billion in investments for renewable energy projects by the end of this decade, while also securing $83 billion in funding for clean technology initiatives during COP28, reflecting its leading role in supporting global sustainability.

World Future Energy Summit 2026

The World Future Energy Summit 2026 will witness the launch of several new specialized zones, including "FUSE AI," an innovative exhibition space coinciding with a conference dedicated to artificial intelligence applications in clean energy, smart cities, and addressing climate change, with the participation of more than 40 global companies.

The new event focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence technologies to enhance the efficiency of electricity grids and improve the integration of renewable energy sources into national systems, as well as developing advanced simulation solutions to support future climate policies in the region and globally.

The summit's startup platform has also been redesigned as "The Greenhouse," hosting more than 50 companies operating in the fields of clean energy, mobility, water, and climate technologies, providing direct opportunities for collaboration between investors and innovators, according to the specialized energy platform.

The World Future Energy Summit 2026 will also witness the launch of "Greenpeace Cinema" for the first time, in collaboration with Greenpeace Middle East, to highlight environmental issues through impactful narratives and visuals showcasing success stories in combating climate change.

Greenpeace Middle East and North Africa Executive Director, Ghawi Al-Nukt, affirmed that the event represents a practical platform for promoting viable climate solutions and connecting political objectives with human stories to achieve a just and sustainable energy transition.

The World Future Energy Summit 2026 is expected to contribute to strengthening Abu Dhabi's position as a global hub for innovation in sustainable energy through constructive dialogues that connect decision-makers, the scientific community, and financial institutions.

Massive Investments and Growing Global Cooperation

The World Future Energy Summit 2026 comes at a time of unprecedented investment in low-carbon energy projects. Global investments in the first half of 2025 exceeded $386 billion, reflecting the accelerating efforts towards carbon neutrality.

Major organizations such as the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and the European Hydrogen Council are participating in specialized events to discuss mechanisms for accelerating the adoption of clean energy and developing supply chains related to green hydrogen and supporting technologies.

Dr. Lamya Fawaz, Executive Director of Corporate Identity and Strategic Initiatives at Masdar, affirmed that the World Future Energy Summit 2026 represents a comprehensive platform for the government, private, technology, and financial sectors to generate tangible solutions to address climate challenges.

She added that the upcoming summit will focus on harnessing artificial intelligence and innovation to accelerate the energy sector's transformation and forging strategic partnerships that support emissions reduction projects and finance scalable sustainable solutions in emerging markets.

The Carbon Forward event, also taking place at the summit, will reaffirm the importance of balancing risks and opportunities in addressing climate issues, with the participation of public and private sector institutions to define effective carbon management strategies.

The World Future Energy Summit 2026 is set to feature national pavilions and advanced innovation hubs, allowing startups to showcase their latest innovations, in an event expected to shape the global energy transition for years to come.
